Imphal, Manipur, March 27 (HBTV): The Indian military has recovered arms and ammunitions in Manipur during a number of operations. The operations were based on intelligence input regarding the presence of militants, arms, ammunition, and explosives at two different locations, one at Kumbi area of Bishnupur district and in Maphou of Imphal East district in Manipur, updates said.     

The military, Bishnupur Police, and Manipur Commandos launched joint operations during which a .303, a 9mm carbine, a country-made pistol, and four hand grenades, among other martial items were seized. 

In another search operation in the general area of Maphou in Imphal East district, a substantial cache of arms and explosives was unearthed. These included an improvised mortar, one Pompie Mortar, two grenades, and ammunition. The recovered items were handed over to the Manipur Police, reports said.
